On here is several of our most frequently asked questions that parents and guardians want to no the answers to.

If you have a question that hasn't yet been answered and you cant find on the website, then read below and hopefully we have answered what you need.

How do I pay for Gym Classes?

Your child's session fees will be due every ten weeks in one payment .  You can pay for the classes at the front reception desk to the centre manager or either of our two receptionists.  Cheques or cash are accepted.  You can now also pay your fees online.  For more information on the online payments or to find out the exact cost involed in your child's fees or insurance, you will need to ring the centre or email.  Details of which can be found at the bottom of our website.

What should my child wear and bring with them for the class?

For both of our clubs we advise that all children dress comfortably for our sessions, shorts and t-shirt, leotards, leggins or joggers, etc are all welcome dress attire.  No jeans, and for trampoline sessions we advise nothing with buttons, etc.  For most gymnastic activities your child will not need socks and will be barefoot in our gymnasium.  For trampolining it is a requirement that all children bring socks to wear otherwise we cannot guarentee your child will be able to take part in the sessions.

Unless your child's coach has stated otherwise you will not need to bring anything with you to the sessions.  We advise all children to bring enough drink to last them for the session, such as water or juice, and based on the session length maybe some snacks.

In trampolining, all hair will need to be tied up in a bobble.

Are your classes insured?

Yes.  All our sessions are insured through British Gymnastics.  We are also a GYM MARK status affliated club.  All coaches have been on safe guarding and protecting children courses and have current up to date DBS's (CRB's).

All children who are new to sign up to the clubs will need to become a member of British Gymnastics.  This can be done at the centre when you sign up and is a one of payment that insures your child on all BG related sports for one year.  These BG memberships are needed for renewel every September.

What are your term dates?

Our Term Dates are in the welcome packs when your child starts gymnastics. They are also emailed out.

Each new set of term dates are on the 'links' page on this website.

Are your coaches qualified?

Yes all our coaches are qualified.  The Gymnastics head coaches are currently qualified at Level 2 and the trampoline head coach is level 3 qualified.  The other coaches have various levels of qualifications in the sports, which are relative to the children they teach.  Our volunteers are currently in training and work alongside the qualified coaches.

You can see a list of our coaches and volunteers, alongside their specific qualifications by visiting the coaches page under meet the team on our website.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Yes.  Providing there is space in the classes children can sign up and join in at any time throughout the year when we are open.  Fees are paid on a set 10 week rolling programme.  Therefore, if you join part way through this cycle you will be required to just pay the remaining number of weeks left until it starts again.

Can parents watch?

No.  Due to limited space, insurance purposes and the British Gymnastics' policy on safeguarding and protecting children, parents are not allowed to stay and watch for the sessions

However, there are some exceptions to this.  Once the children have been dropped off, the parents/guardians can stay for the first 5 minutes of the sessions only and also be allowed back into the room 5 minutes before their session ends.  If it is your child's first week, (taster/trial session), we allow for you to stay for the whole duration, as long as this is ok with the head coach.

Parents/guardians are asked to leave their children for the duration of their session and then come back to pick them up at the end.  If you would prefer to stay on site for the hour, you can sit in the main reception and wait for them, (brews can be on offer).

We do also run competitions, extravaganzas and showcases at various times throughout the year where we invite you to watch the children participate and show you how they are progressing.

What is your ratio of children to coaches?

Our ratio's are set by British Gymnastics.  They are:

Children 3-5 years =1 coach to 6 children

Children 6-8 years =1 coach to 10 children

Children 9 years + =1 coach to 12 children
